Radio Cayman reporting:-
*zero chance of tidal wave activity at this time.
Tidal waves occur within a few minutes of an earthquake and rumors of tidal waves are just that, rumors.
* west end of Cayman Brac and north side of Cayman Brac felt it. Only report of damage from there is a picture falling off the wall.
* may experience smaller aftershocks over next few days, same thing that occurred in Trinidad a couple of weeks ago.
* Dr. Margaret Anderson (sp?), University of West Indies Seismic Dept. said it was also felt in Jamaica, and that there have been a spate of moderate to strong earthquakes along Caribbean boundaries at this time - Jamaica, Costa Rica, Guadeloupe, Trinidad, and now it's moved into the northern Caribbean.
